-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since 1954, the United States Pony Clubs has been educating children and young adults who share a love of horses. But Pony Club extends far beyond teaching riding.

Pony Club teaches horsemanship and life-long leadership skills. It provides opportunities for members to learn valuable skills which help them develop into capable adults. Regional rallies, National Championships, clinics, camps, leadership training and special programs such as International Exchanges and the National Youth Congress are just some of the ways in which Pony Clubbers, play, learn, teach, compete, and set and accomplish goals.

Pony Clubbers understand the value of teamwork and sportsmanship and they develop friendships which last a lifetime. Perhaps most importantly, they develop self-confidence to help them excel not only in Pony Club, but in life.

All of this is made possible by thousands of volunteers and the generosity of our donors and corporate sponsors. To find out how you can part of this, please contact:

As a sponsor of Suncoast Pony Club since the fall of 2004, I can say it has had a tremendously positive impact on my family.  Not being experienced "horse people" the club has been an invaluable resource for us on horse maintenance among other things.  I have watched my grand daughter grow as a rider and as a person. My daughter is thoroughly enjoying being a "Pony Club Mom".  We all work hard and play just as hard.  Our trainers are fully supportive of our Pony Club participation.

The focus of doing your personal best within a supportive team structure is such a positive environment for the children.  The children learn life skills that will serve them  in all facets of their lives. Everyone has something to contribute to the overall well being of the children and the horses.  We are a very fortunate group who are having a great time that includes tons of fun and lots of learning to boot !
