News from 2007 USPC Nationals:

Congratulations to Danielle and the rest of the Sunshine Region Quiz Team for placing 8th out of 40 other regional teams at the 2007 USPC Quiz Championships.

Going to the USPC 2007 Championships in Kentucky was a great experience for the whole family.  We made lots of friends and everyone had a great time.  I highly recommend trying to qualify as a Quiz participant  since it allows you to compete at the National level without taking your horse.

Sincerely,

Suncoast Pony Club Mom,

Angie

2007 USPC Championships, Lexington, Kentucky

I just wanted to drop a note to say what a great time Erin, Emma and I had at the championships it was truly a wonderful experience and well worth the trip, I must say it was the best rally I have been to and I truly hope Erin qualifies next year. The girls from the different clubs in our region worked together and supported each other, wonderfully. The rider from Alaska fit right in, they all had great rides and it was a pleasure to watch them work together. If your child qualifies for championships or you have the opportunity to go to Nationals in the future, I highly recommend going. The Kentucky Horse Park is a beautiful place and there is a lot to do.

We all had a blast and look forward to going again. I have attached some photos of our group. ~Skip V.

Drake Elm Farm

Suncoast Pony Club kicked of the year with a special guest speaker, Alyssa D.

She and her mother visited the club to share their quarter horse showing experiences over the last three years that lead Alyssa to go to World Congress 2006 and show her new horse Frankie.

She finished in the top ten of a youth pleasure class which is unheard

on our first trip to Congress!

The girls and Luke were captivated by her stories!

Brianna D2 & Caroline D2 attended along with Diane DC & Pat Jt DC.

The girls met Daniel Stewart and Wendy Murdoch!

The days were filled with tons of information, great speakers, vendors, pony paddock and wonderful people from all over the country. The 2008 USPC Annual Meeting will be in Boston! Don't miss it!

Congratulations to our Newly Rated Pony Clubbers!

Quiz Rally!!!!

There was no horsing around at the 2006 Quiz Rally held August 19-20 at Grand Cypress Equestrian Center. Eight Suncoast clubbers took on the challenge in both juniors and seniors levels. Congratulations to Suncoast clubbers Danielle, Caroline and McKenna for second place and Brianna and Morgan in a scramble team took third place. In addition, our seniors Gabby, Ali and Sara on a scramble team took a proud third place out of six teams. Also, clubbers and parents participated in an afternoon of Horse management Seminar and boy we all learned so much more. Fun was had by everyone.

Congratulations to our new C1 graduates.

Audrey, Erin and Sara did an amazing job at Fannin Hill Farm on August 6th. A Special thank you to all who attended to help out, keeping the kids & horses hydrated in the sweltering heat!

Way to go girls!

Congratulations to Ali Genua and Gabby Genua on rating up to D-3.

We dodged the July summer rains and enjoyed a great afternoon

with instructor Beth Kirtley Moore (an A rated Pony Clubber) at Fire Ant Farm.

Thanks to all the Suncoast Pony Club members and parents for coming out to support the girls.

The Suncoast Pony Club would like to express sincere gratitude for the overwhelmingly generous contribution made to our club by Ryland Homes on behalf of the Morrison Family.  We are happy to have this great family as active participants in our club. The Morrison's,  Diane, Doug , Caroline and Eric each contribute in their own way. Diane is our Joint D.C. and Caroline with her pony Brownie is an accomplished D2 pony clubber.  The family's decision to designate Suncoast pony club as the recipient of this donation is an incredible statement of their support of the organization.  The "Lollipop Fund" named in honor of Diane's first pony is to be established as an educational fund.

Thanks again to the Morrison family and Ryland Homes!
